Dallas is the 9th largest city in the United States and is the 3rd largest in the state of Texas. Dallas is just not known for its delicious barbeque but there are many other great things that makes Dallas stand out. It is a known fact that Texas is a football state and Dallas is definitely a football town. Dallas is home to the Dallas Cowboys, Dallas Mavericks, Dallas Stars, and now The Dallas Marshalls. Dallas is known as being the place where the frozen margarita machine was invented. The integrated circuit computer chip (which became the microchip) was invented in Dallas in 1958.

There are many things to do in Dallas such as; attending the Dallas Museum of art, Old Red Museum, Kessler Theatre, Perot Museum of Nature and Science, the George Bush Presidential Library, and Dallas Cattle Sculptures only to name a few. Dallas is a sports haven. There is never a dull moment in Dallas. We have everything from hockey teams to basketball teams. Now we have a football team that actually plays in Dallas. The Dallas Marshalls, which after 28 years will be the team to bring the excitement back to the indoor football league. Indoor football games have been a long time coming to the city of Dallas.

Now for those that may not be familiar with indoor football there are a few things that you need to know about the game itself. The rules for indoor football is very different that those of the traditional national football league. It can be a little confusing but it is not hard to get adjusted. The first noticeable difference is the size of the field itself. The traditional field is 100 yards in length. In indoor football the field is just 50 yards long. Instead of 11 men from each team being on the field indoor football only requires 8 players on each side. On fourth down there is no such thing as punting in indoor football. The offense is forced to go for it every time. Indoor football is more of an offensive game which normally leads to the games ending with extremely high scores.There have been cases in indoor football games where several players on one team have scored multiple touchdowns. Unlike the National Football League the ticket prices for indoor football are very reasonable. Indoor Football Leagues normally go out of the way to show its fans how much their support is appreciated. They do this by having meet and greet sessions between the players and the fans after every game. It will take a while for indoor football to increase its fan based. Unlike other leagues it is not highly televised. One great thing about indoor football is that its season starts in February and ends around August. So if you just happen to be traveling to Dallas during this time come out and attend a Dallas Marshalls game. You will not be disappointed.The home opening game for the Dallas Marshalls will take place on February 17, 2018 against the DFW Snipers.
